Title Examiner – onsite-Texas

Commercial Examiner or a strong Residential Examiner ready to learn commercial – salary based upon experience.

Title examiner with acreage and lite commercial experience.
Key Responsibilities:

• Research Property Records: Search public and private records, including deeds, mortgages, plats, court records, and legal documents.
• Analyze Chain of Title: Trace property ownership history to confirm legal ownership and identify restrictions or claims.
• Identify Encumbrances: Uncover liens, easements, foreclosures, unpaid taxes, or other legal issues affecting the property.
• Prepare Reports: Compile findings into title commitments, reports, or summaries for clients, outlining title status and any necessary resolutions.
• Verify Descriptions: Confirm legal descriptions and property boundaries.
• Support Transactions: Help facilitate real estate closings, sales, or mortgage loans by ensuring a clear title. 

Essential Skills:

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Knowledge of real estate law and public records
• Organizational and time management skills 

Work Environment:

• Typically works for law firms, title insurance companies, or real estate agencies.
• Often involves office work but can require travel for on-site document review or closings
