The University of Rochester Department of Psychiatry invites applications for a time-as-reported Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Medicine-Psychiatry physician to serve as an attending physician treating acute medical conditions in individuals with mental illness and/or addiction issues. This is a unique opportunity to work as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team together with psychiatrists, psychologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, and social workers. The position would be in the Division of Medicine in Psychiatry Service working on two adult medical inpatient units (one unit with 20 beds and the other unit with 10 beds).

This time-as-reported position includes a clinical academic appointment with the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry at the rank of clinical senior instructor, clinical assistant professor or clinical associate professor, commensurate with experience and accomplishments. Teaching and clinical supervision of psychiatric residents and fellows, medical students and other trainees is an integral part of this position.

Qualifications

• New York State Medical License prior to start

• Completion of an ACGME residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and/or Psychiatry

• Unrestricted DEA

• ABMS certified preferred, but board eligible also acceptable

The referenced pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
