At TX-STAR Speech Language Services, we partner with school districts across Texas to support students with speech and language needs. We are currently hiring Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLP-As) for school-based opportunities in the Austin area.

This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about working in educational settings and supporting student communication development under the supervision of a licensed SLP.

What You’ll Do

As an SLP-A in a school setting, you will support the delivery of speech and language services to students while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implement speech and language therapy activities as directed by the supervising SLP

  • Support students in achieving IEP goals through structured interventions

  • Assist with documentation of student progress and therapy sessions

  • Prepare therapy materials and maintain organized records

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and support teams

  • Provide services to students with a range of communication needs (articulation, language, fluency, etc.)

  • Follow district guidelines and compliance standards

What You’ll Need

  • Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant through the Texas State Board

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders or related field

  • Valid Texas driver’s license (if travel between campuses is required)

  • Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed SLP

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
