Job Title: Small Engine / Equipment Maintenance Technician

Pay: $31,000 – $50,000 per year
Location: Pass Christian, MS

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated Small Engine / Equipment Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair company equipment while keeping the shop and yard clean and organized.

This role is best suited for someone who is mechanically inclined, takes pride in their work, and can operate independently without constant supervision. You will play a critical role in ensuring equipment is operational, organized, and ready so field crews can work efficiently without delays.

Must-Haves

• Mechanically inclined with ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
• Self-motivated and able to work independently without supervision
• Reliable and punctual with consistent attendance
• Strong attention to detail and quality of work
• Takes ownership and initiative when issues arise
• Ability to keep work areas (shop/yard) clean and organized

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with small engines (Honda GX series preferred)
• Welding or basic fabrication skills
• Experience with construction or pavement equipment
• Familiarity with routine maintenance tracking (parts, repairs, logs)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, filters, belts, etc.)
• Diagnose and repair small engine equipment
• Keep all equipment clean, organized, and job-ready
• Maintain shop and yard organization
• Track repairs and parts usage accurately
• Prepare equipment in advance to prevent crew downtime
