Job Brief:

The Instructional Designer is responsible for crafting visually compelling and highly engaging learning experiences for Zscaler's Go-To-Market (GTM) teams. This role blends instructional design expertise with strong graphic and visual storytelling skills to create impactful training content. The ideal candidate is passionate about designing immersive learning journeys that captivate and educate sales, customer success, and other revenue-focused teams. Working closely with program owners, stakeholders, and subject matter experts, the Instructional Designer ensures that training materials are not only informative but also visually striking and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Visual Design & Learning Experience Development

• Develop beautiful, captivating, and effective learning journeys tailored to Zscaler GTM personas.
• Ensure content is educational, visually engaging, and aligned with brand standards .
• Use graphic design and visual storytelling techniques to enhance the learning experience.
• Partner with program owners, stakeholders, designers, and SMEs to align on educational objectives.
• Collaborate closely with learning strategists and content developers to create cohesive learning experiences.
• Ensure all learning materials are both aesthetically appealing and instructionally sound .
• Oversee the entire instructional design lifecycle , from discovery to evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Apply visual storytelling principles to maximize content impact and retention.
• Utilize instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE) and adult learning principles to develop effective training.
• Conduct stakeholder and learner interviews to grasp learning goals and preferences.
• Translate insights into visually compelling learning content that resonates with GTM teams.
• Produce interactive and multimedia-rich learning materials to enhance engagement.
• Review and refine content with SMEs to ensure accuracy, clarity, and instructional effectiveness .
• Create impactful graphics that elevate the learning experience.
• Maintain and contribute to design standards and best practices for the enablement team.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator), Articulate 360, Camtasia, Prezi, and Synthesia to produce high-quality content.
• Effectively manage learning development projects , setting timelines and tracking deliverables.
• Communicate progress and updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and accountability.
• Adapt learning solutions swiftly to meet evolving business needs while maintaining high quality and engagement.
• Assist in the administration of e-learning modules within the learning management and content management systems.
• Ensure seamless integration of interactive and visually engaging learning content .

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience developing learning content design.
• 3+ years of experience in instructional design, with a strong portfolio showcasing graphic design work .
• Strong ability to communicate complex ideas visually and effectively .
• Familiarity with instructional design models , such as ADDIE.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator), Articulate 360, Camtasia, Prezi, and Synthesia .
• Exceptional graphic design skills with a passion for creating visually driven learning experiences.
• Enthusiastic about continuous learning and helping others achieve their goals .
