Variable camera lenses such as a f/4.5 to f/6.3 are not compatible with the type of photography we do here at Christie's Photographic. You need a straight f/2.8 recommended or f/4 type of lenses for this job due to the low light situations.

The role with Christie's Photographic is freelance, and opportunities will vary based on volume. Due to this, there may be weeks with one assignment and other weeks with several assignments and some weeks with no assignments. Though we try to provide as much notice as possible, some clients do reach out at the last minute.

We handle everything from start to finish of the planning process. This includes dealing with the clients and paperwork, editing the images, and handling questions post-event. We try to make it as easy as possible for photographers and even have on-call staff 24/7 to deal with any out of the ordinary questions that may come up on-site. We just ask that photographers complete a brief recap form post-event summarizing if there were changes on-site and to upload images to us the same night as the event (without editing). In addition, we handle all payments with the client, taking the work off the photographer. We pay photographers weekly on Thursdays for assignments completed the prior week.

The pay rate is $85.00 per hour with a three-hour minimum due to the office's responsibility to handle all planning and editing; the rate is for capturing the event only. In order to get more jobs/clients, this rate is lower than working directly with Clients.

We reimburse $45 for a light kit and $35 for a laptop if needed on-site. This would be requested in advance. We also reimburse for parking with a receipt. Rates are negotiated for certain events, such as those outside of the area.

Please email full equipment list and samples link to: mark@christiesphotographic.com

Your list of camera gear and your samples link will be sent to the Editing Department for review.

If you do not receive an email within 2 weeks you did not pass the review stage.

Please make sure your unedited samples link is direct and there is no need to type in an email or have to sign up to an account for us to access and review your unedited images.

Pay: $85.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
