  • OLA Landscape Architecture
  • New York, NY

Job Description

WHO WE ARE

OLA Landscape Architecture is a leading M/WBE-certified landscape architecture and urban design studio committed to bringing purpose to place. With offices in New York City and Miami, and an international portfolio, OLA designs engaging environments that enhance well-being, increase interest, and foster an appreciation for the natural world. As a team with diverse backgrounds and curiosities, we share an openness to different ways of living and perspectives of space. We believe that meaningful design unfolds from strong relationships. Together, we seek to uplift people and places through the creative process.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a design-focused intern with strong visual production capabilities to join our NYC-based team. This is not a marketing internship, nor is it a documentation-only role. It is a hybrid position that bridges design production and visual storytelling.

The ideal candidate has a clean graphic sensibility and strong aesthetic judgement. We are looking for someone who can contribute meaningfully to studio workflow, while helping us thoughtfully capture and communicate our work. This role supports both the making of projects and the crafting of how they are shared.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

This position balances hands-on design production with consistent visual content execution, including:

Design & Documentation Support (50%)

  • Contribute to project design phases including site analysis, design exploration, and project administration
  • Support the team in producing drawings, models, and presentations
  • Work alongside architects, landscape architects, and urban designers in a hybrid office environment
  • Bring creativity and curiosity to collaborative design discussions

Marketing & Storytelling Support (50%)

  • Support the design and production of marketing collateral and narrative-driven project documentation
  • Document site visits, project process, and studio culture through photography and videos
  • Edit and regularly produce short-form video content
  • Support the production of broader content development

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Production of 1-2 short-form videos per week (site visits, design process, material testing, etc.)
  • Documentation of on-site and in-studio progress as well as editing and refinement of captured footage
  • Organization and oversight of the studio’s visual content library
  • Support for design development and documentation (including drafting and 3D modeling)
  • Support for presentation graphics and visual content

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Approximately 1–3 years of professional experience
  • Strong 3D modeling proficiency (Rhino, Enscape, Lumion, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and drafting fundamentals
  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro Required)
  • Comfort with video editing and short-form content development
  • Ability to operate a drone (or willingness to learn)
  • An openness to collaboration and curiosity for design
  • Strong visual judgement and disciplined graphic sensibility

WHAT YOU SHOULD SEND

Please email a cover letter, resume, links to short-form video samples, and portfolio (<10MB) to jobs@olalandscape.com.
