Job Overview:
Bourke Street Bakery is seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to handle early morning delivery routes throughout Manhattan. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is comfortable navigating New York City streets, experienced with parking in busy areas, and committed to ensuring timely and professional deliveries.
Schedule:
2 days per week
Early morning shifts (starting early AM)
Routes primarily throughout Manhattan
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport bakery products to various locations across Manhattan
Load and unload products while ensuring items arrive fresh and in excellent condition
Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries
Navigate and park in busy Manhattan areas efficiently and legally
Maintain clear communication with bakery staff regarding deliveries and any issues on route
Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized
Requirements:
Prior professional driving experience required
Experience with delivery routes in Manhattan strongly preferred
Ability to confidently navigate and park in Manhattan traffic and tight urban spaces
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Must pass a background check
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous food or bakery delivery experience
Familiarity with NYC routes and neighborhoods
