Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

Join a growing construction team as a Construction Laborer supporting a warehouse renovation project in Jessup, Maryland. In this role, you will assist skilled tradespeople, help install piping systems, and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient job site while gaining valuable experience in plumbing and other construction disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Support plumbers during installation activities by spotting and assisting as directed.
  • Assist with the installation of piping systems and related components.
  • Clean and organize the job site regularly to maintain a safe and efficient work area.
  • Move, load, and unload construction materials throughout the project site.
  • Support fire protection, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and concrete tasks as needed.
  • Perform general labor duties associated with indoor construction and warehouse renovation.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by site leadership, including the foreperson and superintendent.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of indoor construction experience.
  • Hands-on general labor experience on construction sites.
  • Experience supporting plumbing work in a construction environment.
  • Ability to assist with fire protection, electrical, carpentry, and concrete tasks.
  • Capability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
  • Ability to follow directions from supervisors and work safely in an active construction environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in outdoor construction such as site development and concrete work.
  • Background in composite or site clean-up on construction projects.
  • Familiarity with warehouse renovation or similar commercial construction projects.
  • Willingness to learn plumbing skills to support potential entry into the trade.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety and quality.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
